Composite decking material has a higher cost than other decking materials, but for many, it makes up for it in the long run. Because it is almost entirely maintenance-free, deck owners end up saving time and money in the long run. Composite decks typically only require a good cleaning/rinsing off once or twice a year to keep it clean. They resist staining, fading, bugs, and mold, so you have nothing to worry about. We will build composite decks with whichever material the customer desires.
However, we prefer using Trex Transcend composite over others in the market. We recommend it because Trex decks come with a 25 year stain and fade warranty. Although Trex material is the heaviest to work with, it is the most durable and reliable product on the market. Trex decks also allow for using hidden fasteners. These automatically space deck boards and leave a beautiful final look. If you want a deck or screen room that will last a lifetime, go with this product. Trex decks can be built with aluminum railing or Trex composite railing.
Composite railing is the most expensive part of the project, so we often see customers going for aluminum rails instead to stay within their budget. They can always be upgraded later! Other main types of composite products are Azek and TimberTech, but there are a variety of other smaller options. If you have questions about composite decks or screen rooms please send us an email, post to the blog, or give us a call.
